Who Looks For God Anymore??

It's an epidemic- That's affecting the Body.of.Christ

We spend time pouring over the Bible

not to see the God of the Bible

But to find out

What He can do for us...

As if He hasn't done enough

By sending Jesus to die for our sins

Or giving us every day we've ever lived...

Who looks for God anymore?

...I asked God that question the other day

I'm not interested in vain things that will only wither away

God is eternal

He wants me to Know Him

And I want to know Him....

So I went on a scavenger hunt through the Book of Isaiah

I knew I could find a pretty good snapshot of the God I was looking for

The Only True God

and Here's some of what He revealed to me

would you know...through His Word!

God revealed Himself as

The Holy One of Israel

The Lord All-Powerful

The Mighty One of Israel

The Almighty

The God of Jacob/Israel

Beautiful

Maker

Great

Fair

Just

Fire

The Holy God

The Living God

The True God

The Only God

Very High

Lofty

King

The Lord Your God

A place of safety

The Light of Israel

The One who Saves/Savior

Rock

Wise

Wonderful

Counselor/Teacher

Powerful God

Father who lives forever

Prince of Peace

Right/Righteous

Strong

Just

Good

Loyal

Faithful

Wise

Salvation

The Potter

Knowledge

Love

Calm

The God who comforts

Merciful

Patient

Important

Truth

The Judge

Glorious

Splendid

All these characteristics - the majority being repeated more than once. God was saying more than what would happen to Israel and to the rest of the children of God in the book of Isaiah. He was revealing Himself. And the same is true for the rest of the Bible. There are more than promises in there...promises are good yes but don't you think you should get to know the One who made all these promises.

The phrase The Lord All-Powerful was repeated in the Book of Isaiah over 60 times clearly God is trying to let us know He has all the power and if we could understand that it would be easy for us to realize that absolutely Nothing is too hard for God.

If anyone dares asks the question "Who Looks for God Anymore?"

I will boldly raise my hand. Yes, He's unfathomable but He's still revealed some of Himself in His word and I'd like to get to know Him as much as possible

Everything else is just increased blessings

His presence in my life...is the ultimate blessing

Wishing those passers-by of this blog and post
